The funeral for Officer Joe Barron, the heavily decorated officer who died while he rescued nine orphans from a burning orphanage, was recently held in Washington DC. The ceremony had many politicians and community leaders giving their personal stories and remarks about Officer Barron’s storied life.
However, there was one speech that really stood out for its disrespectful tone – – the speech of Joe Biden. He had nothing nice to say about Officer Barron or the police in general, instead using his time to criticize, condemn, and complain about the police.
Below are a few of Biden’s remarks:
“What is a blue life? It is the life of a Smurf. They live in a village, they sing songs, and dance. They are also completely fictional, just as they are in reality.
One does not choose to be black, therefore it is a life. A job does not make a life. Would UPS workers be considered brown lives? Are bank workers green lives? No, they are not.
Police officers have a choice to go into that field of work, black people can’t choose their race.
Now if Smurfs or the things in that crappy Avatar movie were real, then they would be blue lives, but since they are not, it is a moot point.”
The man is crazy. He’s at a funeral talking about Smurfs and BLM. These are horrible things to say at a eulogy for a hero that saved so many lives. It is about the time and place to make a political theater. Biden was wrong to do this and needs to apologize.
This isn’t a man qualified to be President. If he can’t respect a hero, why would he respect America? He wouldn’t. That’s why he needs to drop out and let Trump keep America great.
