Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) today defended ANTIFA as “very good people” throughout the protests that have shaken her district of Minneapolis, MN. Police stations, police cars, buildings, and places of business have been vandalized, and in some cases, burned to the ground.
Multiple sources have cited that many of arrests in Minneapolis to be people from out of town, who are likely trying to start a race war…again. Because that worked out so well for Germany in the ’30s and ’40s and the Confederacy in the Civil War.
ANTIFA, which is short for anti-fascist, is not an actual organization, but rather a movement that is pretty much against everything he stands for, which includes an authoritarian police state. That didn’t stop President Trump from making this horrifically taterlicious proclamation on Twitter.
Obviously, most protesters are smart enough to not destroy the places that they live and work. As a result, they have been mostly peacefully protesting, yet have been attacked unprovoked by the police in cities across America, which has caused some to defend themselves, which has given convenient justification to the various police departments to use tear gas and other non-lethal means of crowd control.
Omar’s words, as told to our own Art Tubolls,
“These people who are part of the ANTIFA movement are hard working and honest people that are tired of being killed for their skin color. They don’t feel safe even in their own homes, their own cars, or their own neighborhoods. They are very good people who are just trying to make a living, as are most of the protesters.
Kneeling didn’t make anyone listen. Marches didn’t make them listen. People like me haven’t been able to make them listen. We just want the police brutality against us to stop.”
There you saw it. Omar said that ANTIFA has “very good people”. If you disagree with her, make your vote heard from far and wide to replace her as Minneapolis’ Congresswoman.
