In many states across the country, people are sick and tired of being locked in their own homes, unable to earn a living, unable to visit family and friends, and simply unable to live a normal life. In Michigan, a large protest was launched in the streets so that their state government knows how they feel. Now several other events like this are planned in other states. Colorado is one of them.
Calling themselves “Citizens Over Corona Kwarantine,” a massive movement has sprung up throughout the state that no longer wants to remain indoors. They want to live their lives and they are about to take to the streets to loudly let their governor know. They are organized, they’re angry, and they’ve had enough.
Unlike in Michigan, this protest may not be so peaceful. The protesters themselves insist they will not be violent and will not cause trouble, but the state has other plans. Governor Joe Barron made an announcement today that was directed only at those who plan to take to the streets in the riot.
“I have a warning for all you people who plan to go out in mass numbers and risk lives with your ridiculous protest.
I can’t stop you from doing so, but if you violate social distancing rules and do not keep more than 6 feet between you and other people, you will be swiftly arrested and charged and prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
This is no joking matter. The 6 feet warning is not pulled out of thin air. This is the minimum distance required to keep us all safe. Follow the rules or go to jail. It’s that simple. You decide where you want to live out the rest of this crisis. At home or in a cell.”
This governor of his attempting to make our right to peaceful protest a crime. This is how Democrats handle any opposing voices. They scream and yell to shut them up and if that doesn’t work to get rid of them. Well this time there are too many of us and we will not be silenced
